How the SAP BTP syllabus is organised

SAP BTP is where SAP customers build and run things that do not belong inside the ERP core. That includes custom apps, extensions to S/4HANA, integrations with other systems and data services.

Each topic below combines the concept with practice on an SAP system. The order and depth can be adjusted for a batch, so ask for the current plan when you enquire.

How a side-by-side extension is built on BTP

Practice should include walking through real business flows, for example:

A business need appears that standard S/4HANA does not cover.
A developer models the data and services using the CAP model.
The app is deployed to the Cloud Foundry runtime in a BTP subaccount.
Connectivity and security are configured so the app can call S/4HANA APIs for authorised users.
Users open the app, often through a Fiori launchpad.

BTP supports the clean-core strategy by keeping custom code outside the ERP system.
ABAP Cloud lets developers write upgrade-safe code in S/4HANA and on BTP.
